The
firm appears on behalf of its clients before U.S. Customs officials
throughout the United States and at Customs Headquarters in Washington,
D.C. The firm's founding partners are former U.S. Customs officials,
who give the firm a special perspective and expertise when rendering
advice and counsel in connection with customs matters. The partners'
experience enables the firm to handle all matters before the U.S.
Customs Service including Binding Ruling Requests, responding to
Requests for Information (CF 28), preparing petitions for remission
and cancellation of fines, penalties and the release of seized goods,
making Prior Disclosures, advising clients during an audit, conducting
Compliance Assessments, and designing Compliance Programs. |

the international movement of goods involves many other federal
regulatory requirements, the firm regularly handles matters arising
under the laws and regulations enforced by other agencies such
as the Federal Trade Commission, the Food & Drug Administration,
the Consumer Products Safety Commission, the United States Department
of Agriculture, the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, the
International Trade Administration, the Bureau of Export Administration,
and others.

The
firm also counsels and represents U.S. and international clients
regarding a variety of commercial transactions in the United States
and abroad, including matters pertaining to agency and distribution
agreements, exports, export licensing and governmental compliance,
technology transfer and intellectual property protection, corporate
internal compliance policies, structuring of relationships, and
joint ventures. Lawyers with the firm possess foreign language
capabilities and/or have corresponding relationships with foreign
law firms and other resources.

In
addition to its federal regulatory practice, the firm has represented
clients before the U.S. Court of International Trade, the Court
of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as other federal courts.
The firm handles both domestic and international litigation related
